The Florida Department of Education has created a web page to provide information and updates regarding the independent review process for the 2010 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test results of the lowest performing quartile of students, as well as the evaluation of the overall FCAT administration for this year. The page is available at (http://www.fldoe.org/schoolgrades.asp).
As the new web page will indicate, the Department has initiated contracts with two independent assessment review organizations to address concerns raised by school districts this week. Their reviews will be in addition to the previously conducted audits that were performed by the independent testing expert, The Buros Center for Testing. You can access Buros’ reports by visiting (http://www.fldoe.org/fcat.asp).
We hope you will find this new page helpful as we continue the process of analyzing the accuracy of the results. We will notify you immediately when the work is completed by both HumRRO and the National Center for the Improvement of Education Assessment. Please keep in mind that complete accuracy of the results is of the utmost importance to us and as such, we will not establishe a release date for school grades until that accuracy has been confirmed.
